Technical Support Manager and V.P. for Amateur Radio Sales (1980-2006)
Involved in positions of key responsibility in both technical support and sales management at the U.S. subsidiary of Yaesu Musen Co., Ltd.; extensive travel to trade shows for promotion of the product line; extensive product training of support staff; responsible for creation of advertising materials and technical documentation throughout three decades with the company.
Responsible for all aspects of sales management for this manufacturer of high-end microphones and audio equipment. Extensive travel to trade shows with many speaking engagements to enhance end user understanding of the key benefits of the product line.
Director of Advertising Sales and Marketing (2010-2013)
Responsible for sales of advertising space for four monthly technical publications, having taken over and combined the responsibilities of three previous sales managers covering the same magazines. Responsibilities included seeking out and signing on new accounts, booking and completing fulfillment on existing accounts, collection of ad materials from each client and verifying accuracy of materials once arrayed in the draft publication, and complete management of the company's extensive trade show appearances each year.
Director Sales and Marketing (2013-2015)
Responsible for all aspects of sales management for this start-up distributor of communications antennas, towers, and communications station accessories. Responsibilities included extensive travel to trade shows, speaking engagements at conventions, seminars at local club meetings to enhance end user understanding of unique features of the products being offered, and hands-on product development and testing.

Amateur radio (particularly antenna design and construction), photography, astronomy, and distance running (three marathons completed). I enjoy public speaking, and average twelve to 15 engagements annually. I also have been doing volunteer and paid tower work for four decades, and have experience on both crank-up and fixed tower systems up to 200' in height. Over two dozen national and world wins in radiosporting competitions. Inducted into CQ Magazine Amateur Radio Hall of Fame in 2008.
